I got to take a little vacation to Hilton Head, South Carolina. I wish I could tell you we had luxuriously warm, sunny weather, but we didn’t. We were able to spend a few hours on the beach and, of course, in true tourist fashion, I picked up seashells. The gentleness of their color enamored me. Some went from ivory to a soft pink, to a sandy brown; some went from a coral to a warm brown; then I found some that had a glorious royal purple on the inside. Can you tell, I really like the subtleties and the boldness of color – I think that is why I like to quilt so much. I can have soft, soothing quiet color or a riot of color or majestic color. I get to choose. Isn’t that a blessing?
Let’s choose primary, patriotic colors:
Jessica will be teaching this class this Saturday, April 12 from 10 AM – 3 PM. Cost is $30 plus kit which includes the pattern. The unique thing about this is that when you purchase this fabric you are also supporting “Operation Homefront” through Island Batiks. It is a great program serving our warriors. Sign up now for the class.
Let’s choose royal, rich colors:
This is also a class being offered this Saturday, April 12 from 10 AM – 3 PM. This one has scripture that is appropriate for confirmation, graduation or wedding or just because it would be beautiful in your home. Jackie will be teaching this class and it is only $30 plus pattern and panel.
You will be so glad that you decided to do either of these classes, as each quilt is beautiful and a delight to create. Call (763-633-4669) or come in and sign up and get your supplies. We are excitedly waiting for you.
