New Year, New Ideas, New Classes, New Skills

Well, winter had found us and looks like it is planning to stay for awhile.  The really, really good part is that it is a great time to quilt.  I personally enjoy watching winter from my sewing room when I am not participating in an outdoor winter activity.  Usually our family likes to downhill ski, but that isn’t going to be possible this year.  Sooo – I guess I will just have to get a lot of quilting done :) .

Did you know that if you purchase the Island Batik line named “Quilted in Honor” that you will be supporting Operation Homefront which is a group that works at meeting the needs of our returning military personnel?  Go to and to learn more about this worthy endeavor.  This is an opportunity to actually give back twice in one project – 1st by purchasing the fabric and 2nd by giving the completed quilt to Operation Homefront to distribute to an individual.  How often do we get a 2 for 1?

Did you know The Noble Quilter is having a Valentine Day Party?  It will be on Friday, February 14 from 10AM to 3PM.  You will make the adorable Valentine table runner, and get lunch all for $40.00.  Kit, pattern, lunch and fun all included for one low price.  I think that is a great deal.Valentine Runner

This runner is absolutely adorable and will definitely brighten the season.  Come and make it your own with Lorrie Franz of bean counter Quilts.

Be sure to check the class schedule for February.  There is sure to be a skill or a pattern that you would like to learn.

Thought:  A real Minnesota winter is an awesome time to prepare for spring.

Take Care and Quilt Joyfully,

Jan & Angie
